Donor Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are the fastest-growing giving method and tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations.

Donor-advised funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.  The Brigade is proud to be a resource and partner to several of the United States’ largest donor-advised fund sponsor organizations and their philanthropic services teams. We are well-versed in the mechanics of donor-advised fund giving and the applicable IRS regulations.

Grants made to VHC Medical Brigade through donor-advised funds can be designated for us to use wherever the need is greatest or aligned with thematic areas that match our supporters’ interest, such as surgery trips, telehealth, general health, nutrition, education, emergency response, etc.

Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Direct window on this page.

Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade, Inc. tax I.D. number is 37-1659721. You’ll need this number.
